Gozney’s heat-resistant suede gloves are designed for those who cook near flames and intense heat sources and want to protect their hands without compromising control whilst cooking.
Their design combines thermal protection, forearm coverage and a fit designed to facilitate movement. A particularly attractive solution for pizza ovens, outdoor cooking and cooking over an open flame.
Gozney has developed these gloves for both professional settings and for those who regularly enjoy cooking directly over a flame and need gloves specifically designed for that type of work.
Up to 500 °C

These heat-resistant gloves are certified by Gozney to withstand temperatures of up to 500 °C for a maximum of 15 seconds. This feature is designed to provide greater protection when cooking requires you to get close to areas of intense heat.
This time limit is important: the 500 °C should not be interpreted as a temperature that can be withstood indefinitely. The protection is specified for brief exposures of up to 15 seconds.
In a pizza oven or when cooking over an open flame, this heat resistance provides a thermal barrier specifically for those moments when your hands and arms have to work close to the heat source.
95% deerskin and 5% leather

Gozney uses a blend of 95 per cent suede and 5 per cent leather, selected by the brand to offer high durability in an accessory designed for use around fire and heat.
The suede gives the gloves that robust, distinctive finish that is well-suited to demanding use in outdoor cooking. It is not simply a matter of adding a thick layer between the hand and the heat: the material forms part of the glove’s functional design.
It is a particularly well-suited construction for those who frequently use a pizza oven, barbecue or other flame-based cooking systems and are looking for an accessory built to withstand that level of use.
Soft inner lining

On the inside, Gozney features a soft inner lining. This is an important detail in gloves designed for working near high temperatures, as the outer protection must be balanced with a comfortable feel when slipping the gloves on and moving your hands.
The aim is for the glove to be not only protective but also practical during a cooking session. When you need to monitor the oven, keep an eye on the fire and carry on preparing food, comfort helps ensure the glove can stay on when it’s really needed.
The result combines a hard-wearing exterior with an interior designed to provide a more comfortable feel against the hand.
Generous fit

The gloves feature a roomy cut designed to facilitate movement. Rather than aiming for a very snug fit, Gozney leaves space so that the hand can move more freely whilst cooking close to the flame.
The brand sells them in a one-size-fits-all design, so there’s no need to choose between different sizes before buying. The roomy design is precisely part of this concept.
It’s a practical advantage in situations where you need to switch between tasks around the oven or the hob and want protection without the glove becoming overly restrictive.
Long cuff

Protection does not end at the wrist. Each glove features an extended gauntlet-style cuff designed specifically to increase coverage over the forearm.
Each glove measures 355 mm in length, a figure that illustrates just how far the design aims to extend protection beyond the hand. This is particularly useful when the arm needs to be brought close to an oven door or an area where heat is concentrated.
This additional coverage works in conjunction with the rest of the glove to offer a more comprehensive solution for those who regularly cook in environments of intense heat.
EN 407 certification

Gozney states that these gloves are certified to EN 407. This European standard sets out requirements, test methods, marking and information for gloves and other protective equipment for the hands and arms against thermal risks related to heat and/or fire.
EN 407 covers various forms of thermal risk, including flame, contact heat, convective heat and radiant heat, as well as certain risks associated with molten metal. The certification thus provides a standardised benchmark, as opposed to a mere commercial claim of heat resistance.
