Maintenance and Uses of the Napoleon Gourmet Burger Press Kit

Take care of your burger tool like a true gourmetThe Napoleon Gourmet Burger Press Kit is not only designed to make it easy to prepare perfect burgers, but also to offer long-lasting durability if maintained properly. Its non-stick surface, removable parts and high-quality, durable plastic make it an ideal utensil for frequent use in both barbecues and conventional kitchens. To keep it working efficiently and looking good, it is important to follow a simple cleaning and storage routine.

Steps for maintenance and proper use:

  1. Clean immediately after each use: Although all parts are dishwasher safe, it is recommended to rinse and wash by hand whenever possible to preserve the non-stick coating. Use a soft sponge and mild detergent.
  2. Disassembly before washing: Remove the bottom plate and separate the moving parts to ensure thorough cleaning of all corners, removing any meat, sauce or grease residue that may have accumulated.
  3. Thorough drying: After washing, dry all parts completely with a clean cloth before storing. Preventing moisture build-up prevents premature wear and the development of odours.
  4. Avoid abrasive tools: Do not use metal scouring pads or sharp utensils inside the mould, as they can scratch the surface and affect its non-stick performance.
  5. Protected storage: Store the kit in a dry place, preferably assembled or in a closed container to prevent dust, dirt or loss of small parts.
  6. Conscious use: To prolong the useful life, use the kit on a stable, non-slip surface. Avoid applying excessive force when pressing.
By following these tips, your kit will stay like new and continue to deliver consistent results for years to come.

Pork Burgers with Pineapple and Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

Tropical flavour with a juicy texture and a hint of barbecueA burger with sweet and savoury notes, perfect for lovers of exotic and juicy combinations. Thanks to the design of the kit, the pineapple filling is perfectly sealed in the centre.

Ingredients for 4 burgers:

  • 500 g ground pork (with at least 15% fat)
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, cut into very small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons thick teriyaki sauce (preferably reduced)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped green onion (white part)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon) and black pepper to taste
  • Brioche buns for burgers
  • Suggested toppings: romaine lettuce leaves, thinly sliced red onion, mayonnaise with a touch of sriracha

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the base mixture: In a large bowl, mix the pork with the teriyaki sauce, green onion, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix to prevent the mixture from becoming tough.
  2. Form the burgers: Use the kit to divide the mixture into 8 portions. Place 4 portions on the base of the press. Use the built-in tool to make the indentation.
  3. Fill: Place a generous teaspoon of chopped pineapple in the centre of each base.
  4. Close and press: Cover with the other 4 portions of meat and press firmly to seal. Ensure the edges are compact.
  5. Cooking: Preheat the grill or frying pan to medium-high heat (200–220°C). Cook the burgers for 5 minutes on each side, or until the centre reaches an internal temperature of at least 71°C.
  6. Serving: Lightly toast the buns. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, onion and sriracha mayonnaise to taste.

Vegetarian Version of Lentil Burgers with Pineapple and Soy Glaze

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of vegetable flavourA vegetarian option that preserves the juiciness of the tropical filling with an umami profile thanks to the soy and spice glaze.

Ingredients for 4 burgers:

  • 400 g cooked lentils (well drained)
  • 1/4 cup fine rolled oats
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons thick soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon grated red onion
  • 1/2 cup pineapple, finely diced
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the dough: Mash the lentils in a bowl with a fork or food processor. Add the oats, garlic, onion, soy sauce, cumin, turmeric, and pepper. Mix until a homogeneous dough forms. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to firm up.
  2. Form the burgers: Divide the mixture into 8 portions. Use the kit to form the bases, make an indentation and place 1 teaspoon of pineapple in the centre of each one.
  3. Seal: Place another portion of mixture on top and press down to seal completely. Make sure the edges are well sealed to prevent the filling from coming out.
  4. Cook: Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat (180°C) with a little oil. Cook the burgers for 4–5 minutes on each side, until they are seared and crispy.
  5. Assemble: Serve on wholemeal bread with green sprouts, cucumber slices and a yoghurt or tahini sauce.
