The Kamado Joe Bristle-Free Cleaning Brush is designed for those who want to keep their barbecue grates clean using a sturdy tool built for frequent use. Its Krafted™ design combines a solid build with a cleaning system that differs from that of traditional metal brushes.
It is a particularly practical choice for regular kamado maintenance: it allows you to tackle stubborn residue, control the pressure effectively whilst cleaning, and maintain a safe distance from the hot zone.
Cleaning without loose metal bristles

Instead of using rows of conventional metal bristles, the brush head features sturdy stainless steel spirals. As the brush is run over the grill, these spirals provide the necessary friction to dislodge grease and caked-on residue without relying on individual bristles.
This design prevents the problem of bristles coming loose whilst brushing and provides a durable cleaning surface. It is particularly useful for routine maintenance of the grates after cooking, applying several passes over areas where residue has built up.
Integrated scraper
An integrated grill scraper is fitted to the back of the head. Its function is to tackle directly those bits of food that have become well-cooked or firmly stuck to the grill and require more than just several passes with the brush.
You can start by using the scraper on the most stubborn areas and then continue with the spiral bristles to finish the job. This gives you two ways of tackling the grime using a single tool, without having to keep changing utensils.

Replaceable head

The part of the tool that does the actual cleaning is precisely the part that suffers the most wear and tear over time. That’s why Kamado Joe has designed this model with a replaceable brush head.
When the head reaches the end of its useful life, there’s no need to replace the entire brush. You keep the handle and the main body of the tool and can replace just the cleaning head, thereby extending the useful life of the entire tool.
Ergonomic and well-balanced handle
The handle is designed to provide a comfortable and balanced grip whilst applying pressure to the grill grate. This helps you control the brush’s movement more effectively, particularly when you need to make several passes over a specific area.
Its shape also allows you to keep your hand away from the head and the cooking surface. The design also retains the distinctive Kamado Joe aesthetic, with its dimples and the recognisable red detail on the handle.

High-strength Krafted™ stainless steel

The frame is made from high-strength Krafted™ stainless steel, a construction designed to withstand the repetitive task of cleaning a barbecue grate. Both the head and body feel much more solid than a lightweight brush intended for occasional cleaning.
With a total length of 45.75 cm, it allows you to work whilst maintaining a practical distance from the grill as you apply pressure to the head. This is particularly useful when the grill is still hot after cooking.
Pop it straight into the dishwasher after use
After cleaning the grill, it’s time to clean the brush itself. In this case, the process is straightforward because the entire brush is dishwasher-safe, according to Kamado Joe’s instructions.
This makes it easy to remove grease and dirt build-up from the coils without having to spend too much time cleaning the brush by hand. Once clean and dry, the integrated hook at the end of the handle allows you to hang it up, ready for the next barbecue.
