Natural Wood Blend

Weber pellets are composed of a carefully selected blend of 50% oak and 50% beech, woods known for their aromatic properties and their ability to produce a dense, flavourful smoke. This combination provides a robust and distinctive flavour that enhances any type of meat, making it juicier and with a deep flavour. The oak is known for its strong and lingering aroma, while the beech brings a softer and sweeter tone, creating a perfect balance that does not overpower the palate. This formula is ideal for those looking for a genuine and distinctive barbecue flavour that stands out at every meal.

Sustainability and FSC® Certified

In an increasingly environmentally conscious world, Weber Natural Oak Pellets 8kg offer a sustainable option without compromising on taste or quality. These pellets are made in the European Union using responsibly sourced wood, meeting the rigorous standards of FSC® certification (FSC® 100%). FSC® certification guarantees that the wood comes from sustainably managed forests, where both ecosystems and local communities are respected. In addition, the production of these pellets is carbon neutral, which means that the CO2 emissions generated are fully offset, thus reducing the ecological footprint. This combination of environmental responsibility and superior taste makes these pellets a smart choice for conscious consumers.

No Additives

One of the most outstanding features of Weber Natural Oak Pellets 8kg is their purity. Free from additives, oils and other chemical agents, these pellets offer a cooking experience that brings out the natural flavour of the wood. The use of additive-free pellets means that there are no artificial flavours or chemicals to alter the taste of the food, ensuring that every bite has the authentic taste of barbecue. This not only improves the quality of the cooked food, but is also a healthier option for those who value clean, natural eating. By using these pellets, you can be sure that your food is cooked with pure, genuine smoke.

Ideal for Red Meat

For red meat lovers, Weber Natural Oak Pellets 8kg offer an intensity of flavour that makes any dish stand out. The blend of oak and beech creates a strong, rich flavour profile, ideal for enhancing the natural characteristics of beef, lamb and game meats. This level of intensity is perfect for those who prefer a pronounced barbecue flavour that complements, rather than overshadows, the quality of the meat. In addition, its ability to permeate deep into the fibres of the meat ensures that every cut is full of flavour, making every barbecue a memorable dining experience.

8kg Easy Pour Box

Convenience is key when it comes to enjoying a barbecue, and Weber’s Natural Oak Pellets 8kg are designed with that in mind. They come in an 8kg box, which is not only handy but also easy to store. This handy box makes it easy to pour the pellets straight into your barbecue, without fuss or waste. The 8kg size is ideal for multiple uses, allowing barbecue enthusiasts to have enough supply for multiple cooking sessions without the need to constantly replenish. In addition, the packaging is completely plastic-free, aligning with sustainability practices and reducing the environmental impact of packaging.

Barbecued Wild Boar with Weber Natural Oak Pellets Recipe

Cooking wild boar on the barbecue can be an unforgettable experience, especially when using natural oak and beech wood for a deep smoky flavour. This step-by-step recipe guide will help you prepare a delicious wild boar dish using Weber Natural Oak Pellets 8kg. The robust flavour of the pellets combines perfectly with the wild boar meat, creating a succulent and flavourful dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 kg wild boar (can be loin, ribs or leg)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons coarse salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 100 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for a sweet touch)
  • Weber Natural Oak Pellets 8kg

Preparation

  1. Prepare Marinade: In a large bowl, combine minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, olive oil, red wine, Dijon mustard and honey. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  2. Marinate the wild boar: Place the boar meat in a resealable bag or large container. Pour the marinade over the meat, making sure it is completely covered. Seal the bag or cover the container and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. This will allow the flavours to penetrate the meat, giving it a more intense taste.
  3. Prepare the Barbecue: Fill the pellet compartment of your barbecue with Weber Natural Oak Pellets 8kg. Light the barbecue and set the temperature to about 110-120°C (230-250°F). Wait for the barbecue to reach the desired temperature and start producing steady smoke. The use of oak and beech pellets will provide an intense smoky aroma that will enhance the flavour of the wild boar.
  4. Cooking the wild boar: Remove the meat from the marinade and place it directly on the barbecue grill, fat side up if it has a layer of fat. Close the barbecue lid to keep the heat and smoke in. Cook the wild boar on low heat for approximately 2 to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 70°C (160°F). Slow cooking allows the meat to become tender and absorb the smoky flavours.
  5. Spraying the Meat: During the cooking process, open the lid every 30-40 minutes and spray the meat with the remaining marinade to keep it moist and enhance the flavour. This also helps to create a caramelised and flavourful outer layer.
  6. Resting the Meat: Once the meat has reached the desired internal temperature, remove it from the barbecue and place it on a platter. Cover with foil and allow to rest for about 15-20 minutes. This step allows the juices to redistribute inside the meat, making it juicier and more tender.
  7. Cut and Serve: After resting, cut the wild boar meat into thin slices. Serve the wild boar with your favourite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.

Additional Tips

  • Sauces: For an extra kick, serve the wild boar with a cranberry sauce or a red wine reduction. These sauces complement the robust, smoky flavour of the meat very well.
  • Garnishes: Consider accompanying the wild boar with roast potatoes, sautéed mushrooms or grilled asparagus, as these ingredients complement the flavour profile of the game meat.
  • Pairing: A robust red wine, such as a Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah, can be the perfect complement to this dish, further enhancing the intense flavours of the wild boar meat and the smoky aromas of the oak pellets.
