The Krafted™ Utensil Set with Case – Kamado Joe brings together three tools designed to assist with the main tasks around the barbecue: food tongs, a wide-bladed spatula and a grill-cleaning brush.

All three pieces are made from heavy-duty Krafted™ stainless steel and are each 45.75 cm long, providing a comfortable distance from the heat. Their ergonomic, well-balanced handles ensure control during prolonged cooking sessions.

The entire set is stored in a water-resistant canvas case, with specific compartments for each utensil. A solution designed for cooking, cleaning and keeping the tools organised both at home and whilst on the move.

Three 45.75 cm tools

The set includes tongs, a spatula and a grill brush, covering everything from handling food to cleaning the grates when you’re finished.

Each tool has a total length of 45.75 cm. This length allows you to work over the grill whilst keeping your hands further away from the heat source and maintaining a good level of control.

Rather than bringing together utensils from different ranges, the kit offers three tools from the same Krafted™ range, with a design and ergonomics that are consistent with one another.

Tongs with a precise grip

The Krafted™ tongs combine their 45.75 cm length with a spring-loaded mechanism that allows for smooth opening and closing whilst working over the grill.

Their serrated teeth are designed to grip food of different sizes firmly – from delicate pieces to thicker cuts of meat – without compromising control when turning or removing them.

The locking pin keeps them closed when stored, whilst the support notch keeps the head raised when placed on a surface.

Spatula with cutting edge

The spatula has a total length of 45.75 cm, with a 34.25 cm handle and a turning surface measuring 10 × 11.4 cm, designed to handle good-sized pieces on the grill.

Its wide blade makes it easy to slide the tool under burgers, chicken, fish or cuts of meat, providing a stable base whilst turning.

It also features an integrated cutting edge that allows you to separate tender food directly on the grill when required.

Bristle-free steel brush

The brush uses bristle-free stainless steel spirals to remove food residue stuck to the grates, avoiding the risk of splintering associated with traditional brushes with metal bristles.

On the reverse side, it features an integrated scraper to tackle more stubborn cooking residues. It also maintains a length of 45.75 cm, allowing you to work at a comfortable distance from the heat source.

Its head is replaceable, so the part subject to the most wear and tear can be renewed without having to replace the entire tool.

Waterproof canvas cover

The kit includes a water-resistant canvas cover designed specifically to carry and store all three tools together.

When zipped up, the utensils remain protected and grouped together as a single set, which is particularly useful when storing them away from the usual cooking area or moving them to another location.

The exterior features the embroidered Kamado Joe logo and maintains the black aesthetic with red detailing characteristic of the Krafted™ collection.

High-strength Krafted™ stainless steel

Tres utensilios Krafted Kamado Joe de acero inoxidable

The tongs, spatula and brush are made from heavy-duty Krafted™ stainless steel, designed to deliver long-lasting performance around the barbecue.

This construction is complemented by ergonomic, well-balanced handles, designed to ensure a comfortable grip when cooking requires working for extended periods.

The result is a cohesive set of tools in which each piece is designed for a specific task, yet shares the same philosophy of construction and handling.

Each tool in its place

The interior of the case features compartments individually tailored to the three tools, ensuring that the tongs, spatula and brush each have a designated position.

The fastenings help keep the items organised inside the case rather than carrying them loose, making both preparation before cooking and tidying up afterwards easier.

When the case is opened, each utensil is visible and accessible, making it easy to check that the set is complete before storing or transporting it.

All three utensils are dishwasher-safe

After cooking, the tongs, spatula and brush can be washed in the dishwasher, reducing the effort required to get the set ready for the next session.

This feature is particularly practical in a set that combines tools designed both for handling food and for removing grime from the grill racks.

Being able to clean all three pieces in the same way simplifies the set’s maintenance routine and avoids having to use a different method for each utensil.

Kamado Joe Krafted™ design

The utensils retain Kamado Joe’s signature dimples and the red detailing that visually identifies the Krafted™ range.

In addition to the case, each tool has its own hook for hanging, offering an alternative storage option when they are regularly used next to the barbecue and do not need to be stored in the case.

In this way, the kit combines a uniform look with two ways of organising the tools: protected inside the case or hung individually near the cooking area.

Before first use

  • Remove the tongs, spatula and brush from their respective compartments in the case.
  • Check that the tools are clean and free from packaging residue or dirt accumulated during storage.
  • On the tongs, check that the opening and closing mechanism and locking pin operate correctly.
  • Locate the scraper on the back of the brush head so that you can use it when particularly stubborn residue remains on the cooking grate.

During cooking

Using Kamado Joe Krafted tongs during cooking
  • Tongs: use the serrated teeth to grip and turn food while maintaining a firm but controlled hold.
  • Spatula: slide the blade underneath the food before lifting it. Its 10 × 11.4 cm surface provides sufficient support for handling larger pieces.
  • Cutting edge: this can be used to separate tender foods directly on the cooking grate when required.
  • 45.75 cm length: make use of the tools' long handles to maintain a comfortable distance from the heat.

After cooking

  • Remove food residue from the tongs and spatula before storing them.
  • Use the Krafted™ brush to remove residue stuck to the cooking grates.
  • For more stubborn build-up, use the scraper integrated into the back of the brush head.
  • Do not place the tools back in the case until they have been cleaned and dried.

Cleaning the brush and cooking grates

Cleaning the cooking grate with the scraper on the Kamado Joe Krafted brush

The brush uses bristle-free stainless-steel coils. Pass them over the cooking grate bars to loosen cooking residue and debris.

For more stubborn build-up, use the integrated scraper first and then pass the coils over the grate again to complete the cleaning.

Periodically check the condition of the brush head. As it is replaceable, it can be changed when wear begins to reduce cleaning performance without having to replace the entire brush.

Dishwasher cleaning

Cleaning Kamado Joe Krafted tools in the dishwasher

The tongs, spatula and brush are all fully dishwasher safe, so all three tools can be cleaned this way after use.

Kamado Joe shows the tools placed in the upper basket of the dishwasher, a practical arrangement for keeping them organised during the cycle.

Once the cycle has finished, allow the tools to dry completely before placing them back inside the case.

Periodic maintenance

  • Tongs: periodically check that the spring mechanism and locking pin operate correctly.
  • Spatula: keep both the turning surface and integrated cutting edge clean.
  • Brush: inspect the stainless-steel coils and replace the brush head when wear begins to affect cleaning performance.
  • Case: keep it clean and dry before closing it with the tools inside.

Storage and transport

Placing Krafted tools in their Kamado Joe storage case

Place each tool in its individual slot and secure it in the intended position before closing the case.

The water-resistant canvas case protects the three tools and keeps them together during storage and transport.

For everyday storage near the barbecue, all three tools also feature an integrated hanging hook.

On the tongs, engage the locking pin before storing them so that they remain closed and take up less space.

Spiced grilled chicken thighs

A simple recipe designed to make use of the broad surface of the Kamado Joe Krafted™ Spatula when lifting and turning pieces of chicken on the cooking grate while maintaining control.

Grilled chicken thighs being handled with a Kamado Joe spatula

Servings: 4 people

Preparation: 10 minutes + 30 minutes resting time

Cooking time: approximately 45–60 minutes

Method: indirect cooking on the barbecue

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • Lemon to serve

Method

  1. Prepare the chicken. Pat the chicken thighs thoroughly dry with kitchen paper. Mix them with the olive oil, paprika, garlic, onion, salt, pepper and thyme until evenly coated.
  2. Leave to rest. Keep the chicken refrigerated for around 30 minutes so that the seasoning adheres well to the surface.
  3. Prepare the Kamado. Stabilise the barbecue at around 200–205 °C and set up an indirect cooking zone.
  4. Add the chicken. Arrange the chicken thighs on the cooking grate, leaving some space between the pieces, and close the lid.
  5. Monitor the cooking. Cook until the outside is well browned. Use the Krafted™ Spatula to lift or turn the pieces when necessary; its 10 × 11.4 cm blade provides a broad surface for handling the chicken without moving it more than necessary.
  6. Check the temperature. Measure the thickest part of each piece without touching the bone. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of at least 74 °C.
  7. Rest and serve. Remove the chicken from the cooking grate, leave it to rest for a few minutes and finish with a few drops of lemon juice before serving.
