The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 1150 XT cover is designed to protect these digital charcoal barbecues and smokers whilst they are left outdoors. It is built to cover large-format appliances and minimise their direct exposure to rain, sleet, snow and other the elements when not in use.
It is compatible with the global model numbers Gravity Series 1050 (MB20041320), Gravity Series XT (MB20043024) and Gravity Series 1150 (MB20041625). This helps you determine with greater certainty whether this is the right cover for your Masterbuilt before you buy it.
Water-resistant material
The outer material is water-resistant and creates a barrier to keep the barbecue protected from direct exposure to rain, sleet and snow when it is covered.
This is particularly useful if your Gravity Series is usually kept on a terrace, patio or outdoor kitchen area and you want to minimise its exposure to the weather between uses.
There’s no need to move the whole barbecue every time you’ve finished a cook: simply fit the cover properly and your barbecue will be protected until the next time you light it.
UV additives
The material itself contains UV additives. Masterbuilt uses these to help extend the cover’s lifespan and better preserve its appearance when regularly exposed to sunlight.
This is an important feature for an outdoor cover: it must not only fit the barbecue properly, but also be designed to better withstand the exposure it receives whilst performing this protective function.
Tear-resistant PVC inner lining
The inner side features an additional PVC lining specifically designed to help prevent tears during one of the tasks that puts the most strain on a cover: putting it on and taking it off the barbecue.
This provides additional protection during everyday use, particularly with barbecues the size of the Gravity Series 1050, 1150 and XT, where the cover has to cover a large surface area every time it is put on or taken off.
Bottom adjustment
The lower section features an adjustment system that allows the cover to be tightened once it is fitted over the barbecue. This ensures it does not simply rest on top of the barbecue.
The adjustable drawstring helps keep it in place and ensures the cover continues to protect the Gravity Series properly whilst it is in storage.
The result is a more practical fit for everyday use: cover, secure and leave the barbecue ready for the next time you need it.
Double stitching
The seams are double-stitched, a construction method Masterbuilt uses to help prevent water seeping through the areas where the different parts of the cover join.
On an outer cover, the seams are particularly important as they run across different areas of the fabric. The double stitching reinforces these joins and complements the water-resistant material.
As well as serving a practical purpose, the orange stitching creates a distinctive contrast against the black finish of the Masterbuilt cover.
