The Grandpro Maxim G5 built-in gas barbecue is designed to be the centrepiece of a spacious, well-organised outdoor kitchen with a premium look and feel. Its built-in design is aimed at those who are not looking for a secondary barbecue, but rather a main unit ready for comfortable cooking when the family gets together or guests arrive.
Its configuration features five main burners, a rear infrared burner and two types of cooking surface: three grills and a griddle. This combination allows you to prepare different dishes during a single cooking session, using various heat settings and adapting each zone to the food being cooked.
Compatible with butane and propane gas, the Maxim G5 is designed for projects where capacity, control and visual integration are all key considerations. The black finish, steel detailing and front control panel reinforce its technical, modern aesthetic, making it ideal for a high-end outdoor kitchen.
Integration into a high-end outdoor kitchen

The Maxim G5 has been designed to be installed within an outdoor kitchen worktop or structure. Once recessed, the body of the barbecue is integrated into the unit, whilst the front control panel.
Its external dimensions are 87.6 cm wide, 50.1 cm high and 65.5 cm deep, making it a model that is both versatile and impressive.
Importantly, the installation recess must be between 83 and 84 cm wide, at least 59 cm deep and at least 22.5 cm high.
The installation diagram also recommends a minimum rear clearance of 25 cm and the use of non-combustible materials around the recess. The final installation must be carried out in accordance with the official manual and the regulations applicable to gas appliances.
Cast-iron griddle and grills

The cooking surface consists of three 45 × 20 cm porcelain-coated cast-iron grills and one 20 × 45 cm porcelain-coated cast-iron griddle. A total of 80 × 45 cm of cooking surface, not including the warming rack or the raised grill.
This auxiliary surface allows food to be kept away from direct contact with the grills whilst the rest of the meal is being cooked.
The grills allow you to cook meat, fish and vegetables directly on the grates. The griddle expands the possibilities for small, delicate or moisture-rich foods, such as seafood, chopped vegetables, eggs, burgers or side dishes.
The griddle is completely flat on both sides.
Rear infrared burner

In addition to the five burners located beneath the main cooking surface, the Maxim G5 features a 4.6 kW rear infrared burner. Its raised, rear position provides a source of radiant heat that differs from that generated by the lower burners.
This system allows intense heat to be applied from the rear to enhance external browning and to complement dishes that require a more pronounced finish. It also expands the possibilities when cooking with the lid closed.
The infrared burner complements the main cooking zones. This allows for gradual cooking on the conventional burners, followed by a more intense finishing phase when the recipe requires it.
We recommend using it in conjunction with the chicken roasting accessory and without the warming rack.
Five independent burners

The five main stainless-steel burners deliver a combined output of 17.5 kW, with a rated power of 3.5 kW per burner. Each zone has its own front control.
Independent control allows you to create different heat levels within the same cooking surface. You can maintain a high-heat zone for browning, a medium-heat zone for continued cooking, and a lower-heat zone for delicate foods or for cooking using indirect heat.
When the five main burners and the rear infrared burner are combined, the system achieves a combined rated power of 22.1 kW. It can be fuelled by butane or propane gas, provided the appropriate regulator and installation are used.
Built-in thermometer

The thermometer is built into the lid and allows you to check the internal temperature without constantly opening the barbecue. This is particularly handy when cooking with the lid closed and over longer cooking times.
Keeping the lid closed helps to retain the heat generated by the burners. Being able to monitor the temperature from the outside reduces unnecessary lid openings and makes it easier to adjust the controls.
The lid indicator serves as a guide to the ambient temperature inside the cooking chamber. To accurately measure the internal temperature of meat or fish, a food-specific thermometer should be used.
Heat diffusers to protect the burners and distribute the heat

Four vitrified steel heat diffusers are positioned above the main burners. These components create a barrier between the flame and the cooking surface.
Their function is to help distribute the heat beneath the grills and reduce the burners’ direct exposure to fat and juices that drip down during cooking.
The diffusers can be removed to access the burners during cleaning and maintenance, always following the instructions set out in the official manual.
Front grease tray
The Maxim G5 features a grease tray that can be removed from the front. Its position allows access to the collection system without having to remove the barbecue from the worktop or access the rear of the unit, making maintenance much easier.
During cooking, the tray collects the residue that passes through the main cooking surface. After use, it can be removed for emptying and cleaning, preventing grease from accumulating over prolonged periods.
This front access is particularly important in a built-in barbecue, where the sides and rear are restricted by the furniture or structure surrounding the unit.
Black finish and steel detailing for a premium look

The combination of a black finish, vitrified steel and stainless steel elements gives the Maxim G5 a sleek, technical look. The contrast between the lid, the handle and the front panel makes it easy to integrate into outdoor kitchens of various styles.
The lid maintains a compact profile when closed, whilst the centrally positioned thermometer and aligned controls reinforce the impression of an appliance designed as a permanent feature of the kitchen.
The built-in design, the width of the front panel and the layout of the controls make the Maxim G5 the centrepiece of a modern, spacious outdoor kitchen, ready to welcome guests.
